Split ends

I often suffer from split ends in my hair whilst sailing and fear my elegant coiffure is degenerating. What hair conditioner do you recommend .. If StugeronSteve answers I know he's taking the p!

If you're unable to find a reliable supplier, you could try buying a nice rubber bathing cap. I'm sure you will be able to find one on some of the rather, ahem, arcane websites that you seem to be familiar with.......... /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

You could try HWMO's solution and just shave it off altogether! Saves a whole heap of problems and you can wash it with a flannel.

for a mild case apply cutch with potassium bichromate as a mordant. if severe, fish oil & ochre. worked fine for the sails on my old gaffer so should be ideal.

You need to make sure the ends can't split again, so cut your hair with a hot gun, which works perfectly.

whilst waiting in traffic on my 2 wheeled conveyance, a rather burly barrel-chested geezer leant out of his 40 ton truck window and asked if the plastic dome came with all hair driers. subsequent conversation revealed that he too had a problem with split ends but, i fancy, he was referring to an anatomical characteristic of which i did not posess.
