Splicing Raymarine STng spur cable – how?

I will have to put a splice in a (not yet installed) spur cable. I would like the splice made so that it could be taken apart and rejoined without too much hassle. My understanding is the cable has five cores.
Would five 2-way Wago 221 connectors in a junction box, placed in the cockpit locker, be acceptable?
Any better ideas?

If you wanted a pukka but much more expensive option, there are field-installable NMEA2000 connectors. No junction box required.
