Spirit 21

I have just aquired a Spirit 21 sportsboat hull and deck completely bare and wonder if anyone knows a thing or two about it. I guess it was made in the mid eighties and has been sat in a barn since. It is very much like a Fairline sprint 21, as thought by the previous owner, but I have identified it as a Spirit 21. Any info regarding builder or plans/interior pics of any other owners <span style="color:blue"> </span> <span style="color:blue"> </span> would be most gratefully received thank you.

If it indeed is a Spirit 21 it would more than likely have been built by Roger Clark Marine. When Roger Clark ceased production in the early 90's. Picton's took over the larger Spirit 3000. Not sure if they did the same for the 21, but suspect not.

Giles, I have a Spirit 23 bought in June this year.
It's 1989 built by Roger Clarke Marine. My understanding is they were built on Glastron hulls imported from the USA. Not many built as once Glastron realised that RCM were making a success out of their boats they sttopped supplying the hulls. I'm sure someone on the forum will tell me I'm talking total twaddle but this is the info I was given by my boat's previous owner.
Not sure of the spec for the 21 but if you want photos of the 23 I'm sure i can send you something.
Are you single or twin engined?
My 23 is fitted with twin Volvo AQ151A petrols but not sure what the drives are.

Thanks for the info, I haven't actually measured the length yet so will do today. If you can oblige with some photos of your craft exterior and interior I would be most grateful.

I used to work for Roger Clarke Marine during the 80's but only in the office so cant help with anything technical I'm afraid.

Thats not useless information, i've got a Spirit 3000 built by Roger Clark Marine, interested in any info you might have technical or not /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
