Hi
I need help trying to identify my sons winter project.. best guess so far is it is a dateline bikini!! the boat is around 15ft in length..

Any ideas??

Thanks in advance..

Pretty sure it's a Dateline Bikini, a Good friend of mine had one which I spent a good amount of time in. Do you have a photo looking back from the bow? That would make me more sure

Hi Ian

Thanks for your help . I have some more photos on my phone that I will upload later..

The boat has no markings on it and was very sorry looking, it was a faded red colour before she was stripped and sent for a repaint. it was fitted with a mercury 75 outboard which is total scrap.. A bit confusing as most dateline bikinis we have seen online have inboard jet engines but the shape seems right..

Graham..

Some more pics that may help to identify her!

You're right about the engine config. My friends had a small block 6cyl Merc inboard. However, there was the option for an outboard I believe. Looking at the extra pics I reckon it's a Bikini

Hi,

It is actually a Global Sabre! The shallow, narrow hull are very different to the Dateline Bikini. The max engine size is 75HP and it is not the most stable boat. However they do shift!

Hi Paul.

I will have to surf the net for Global Sabre info then as my son and I are both newbies but if we fit a 40hp outboard when it has been re-trimmed etc do think that it will give her enough power?

Regards

Graham.

Suprising how many of these skimmers look the same, just did side by side views of my old concorde fiesta and they follow very similar lines!

I took these pic for cleaning purposes more than the shape, but not a lot in it.

Thanks to everyone for your help and suggestions in identifying the boat. Keep them coming please, should be able to get a possitive id eventually.

Many Thanks
Graham..
