how many knots should I expect from a Fairline Vixen (19ft ) with a volvo AQ130 Petrol with 290 outdrive
Does any body know any internet links for this model of craft ?
any info would be appreciated

Hi

take its maximum achievable revs divide by gearbox ratio multiply up by the pitch of the prop then simply turn into mph from the inches per minute you have- that will give the theoritcal top speed. On a good planning hull slip will be about 15% or so dependent on load etc.

I know that wouldnt be absolutely accurate for your boat as there may be other factors but it gives a realistic indication.
