One item I didn't include in my RUG 8 report that all should be aware of.

The EA were very specific that a major focus for enforcement this year will be speed and wash. Lasers were mentioned and I think I also heard a suggestion that people might hide in bushes at bends etc where they would be difficult to spot!

Perhaps it could be another revenue stream???
 
I said it before but - saw a very young Coot chick last year chirping as it was swept downstream toward what I suppose what it's death. A pathetic sight. In that case I think flood water did for it but was an effective lesson in the reasons to keep wash down - particularly at this time of year.

Coot chicks are Pike food in most of the marinas.....
