Perhaps it's the photo, but they don't look to be good value at all. Last year, I'd a 9.7 metre mast built for about £3K.

Tend to agree. 6 weeks listed and a very narrow market.
A few months ago I made a 7 mt doug fir laminate mast for around 90 euros worth of wood + a bit of epoxy.

Drifting a bit 🙃 there was a good article in Classic Boat about building a new mast for a classic. 146ft tall IIRR. Box on box construction by a place in the SOF run by a Scottish bloke. I spoke to him about the glue and it was a modified urea formaldahyde. So bit like the old Aerolite 306 that we used way back. Seems the chemists did some accelerated aging tests and it came out best. No price was mentioned, but it must have been pretty in keeping with keeping such a classic in A1 condition.
