Boat is at Bursledon, and it seems that every electronic boffin in Hampshire has headed off for the America's Cup.

I need to have a tricolour fitted and the (crap) Silva/Nexus windy gear sorted out.

Is the mast down, or up?

Mast's stepped. There is a cable up there. The Danes fitted a windex light, but no tricolour - yes, bonkers.

It doesn't work! The badly written/translated manual says I ought to get between 1.5v and 4v at the relevent terminals. I'm getting 8.4v. Nuffink on the displays, though the needles wobble when I turn the power on.

After all the aggro with Selden Fulex, Silva/Nexus instruments and Volvo engines, the next boat will have no Swedish engineering! Gawd help the HR, Malo et al owners.

I think you need a mountaineer, not a sparky. Working up the mast has much more to do with stamina than electrical know-how /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
