Right, so the ONLY lecky powered thing is the nav lights and the instruments. I move to do nothing about the electrics which are working fine, and to spend the saved several hundred quid in the pub.

And of course you will STILL need to run the engines either to dodge the ships a bit perhaps, or for safety in dodgy northern french places, or to drown out the racket of the other boats with wind generators, generators or engines. Note that with the extra loot you can rumble the engine for an hour and nip off to the pub.
