Has anyone else been approached by someone attempting to flog you a Volvo car? I have just received a PM from a Volvo dealer doing just this. Is it me or is there enough unsolicited e-mail etc. out there already, do we really want it on this forum as well?

Comments appreciated!!

Good, I let him know my feelings as well!! Can we get such people kicked off the forum? I realise that they would just create another user name but at least they may get the message, if they are intelligent enough to read...

No (apart from YBW's internal admin stuff of course, but I didn't figure you meant that), but you can apply a bit of intelligence and cunning, and soon get quite a comprehensive list if you want to be really sad and spend some time at it

I think I specifically requested keel-hauling, but a boot up the bum will suffice.

Thanks Paul. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Apart from the bother of the guy doing what he shouldn't, Whats wrong with a Volvo? I run an old 245 just fill it with oil and petrol. Its a tank! Ideal for me. Can leave it anywhere and knowone will nick it!! Poxy Volvo is just not fair. Over here we call them the Swedish Tractor. When I have to work on it two spaners and a screw driver is all I need. Poxy Volvo indeed!!!!!!!

PS: I have not been contacted by the idiot.

Steve,

I have this morning spoken with a Mr Nick Webb of Squire Furneaux Volvo in Leatherhead to make clear that the terms of conditions of these forums were broken in no uncertain terms by a someone, apparently in the marketing department of that company.

Not a great way to try and sell you a Volvo car on an RYA affiliate deal.

I think I will let the marketing person's email address roam around my commercial department though, seems whoever it is is ripe for a few pitches this week.

Apologies to all who received this PM.
