Well, as I understood it, we're talking about a 2m aft quartering sea, on a planing boat with no stabs, cruising at displacement speed for many hours - including the whole night. Nobody can be crucified for getting seasick in such situation, methink... /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
Good to know they're all safe and sound in Bizerte now, anyway. Apropos: as I was told, they are building a brand new and very nice marina over there, are you (JW crew) already enjoying it?

Just a little fun not a serious comment. As we all all had a drink togethr /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif the night before departure, I feel my comment will have been taken as a little bit of banter. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Actually I guessed so...
But couldn't resist 'cause I felt that 4 ROTFL icons was a tad too cruel! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But no fuel restrictions this time, which makes a helluva difference.
With a boat like that, as long as the following sea isn't an F7+, the cruise should be smooth as silk!
Well, I wish them so, anyway.

Quick update - great run from Tunisia to Malta. 3 pods of dolphins, flattening seas, sun and some stunning pictures /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Tied up, just finishing formalities and cups of tea in hand...

Job Done.

Very keen to see the pics. Entering Valetta definitely rates on some list of the more stunning harbours entries in the world. Right up there with Istanbul, Bonifacio, et al, in my book

Off topic JFM (sorry) but can you name the make of large mobo in your 1st pic.

Hint - Irish made on Hamilton jets (unless I am misteken).

Ooh, spot the boat! Tis a Cara. Made by the guys down in Cork, near Monkstown, Carrigaline I think. I hate the boat, just too ugly to contemplate. Gludy was keen on buying one for a while. That one in Grand Harbour in Malta (I visited last year) is the only one I've seen in the flesh. The guy who owns the cmpany bought the White House in Rosscarbery, a few years ago, off the Scanlons, a lovely elderly English couple who retired there perhaps 30 years ago and since passed away. You probably know it - it's the big white house on the W side of the non tidal lagoon on the north side of the main Clon-Skib road. Lovely house and views

Agreed... when I arrived in October 2007, I spent 2 nights in Grand Harbour Marina

I dont tend to do "Wow", but I couldnt stop saying it for days!

Ah Comino and the blue lagoon.

Exactly 40 years ago we used to run day charters from Manoel Island and the blue lagoon was the usual place for the lunchtime swimming stop.

Good to see it hasn't changed, looking at the photo.

Presumably the return journey will be more leisurely, time to visit some of the Italian islands.

Nice to see the pics of Valletta and Comino. Way, way back (mid '80s) I spent some time working in Valletta and had the opportunity to cruise from Valletta aboard a beautifully converted MTB, the favourite stop off for a swim was the Blue Lagoon. I was a practicing Raggie at the time so didn't pay a lot of attention to the mechanicals of the boat, but did appreciate the pace and ability to get about /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif. Probably sowed the mobo seeds in me.

AHoy2.
