Southwold toilet facilities

Hi

Considering a family sail up to Southwold this week. Visit My Harbour advises (in May 22) that the toilet/shower block is out of action and that the campsite is now the only choice - is that still the case?

I remember using the sailing club showers at some point before the toilet bllock was constructed, might that also be an option?

The club close by is certainly an option if it's open.
It's a great shame that the facilities in the HM's office are no longer available. If you don't have a holding tank, it's a heck of a walk to the campsite facilities. The harbour is of course run by the local council......

Not that I have a boat anymore, but why have the good facilities in the HM building been closed? The sailing club facilities some years ago were all that was available, but they were pretty dire, the HM ones were a huge improvement.

I'm sure the folk at HMS in the harbour would let you use the loo. As for showers, the ones at Walberswick campsite are good. Just a quick row across the river.

No, unfortunately we had to sell when Jan’s mobility got such that she could no longer get on board. Sadly she died suddenly just after Xmas.
