Just a quick note on the state of the entrance this year.
Oyster 435 - Draft 1.98m
Delivered on Sunday in 20knt easterly. (Dropped main but had jib unfurled and engine at 1500 revs)
Required two hands on wheel but no concerns.
Time was 17:30
4 hours after HW, springs.

We had a minimum of .2m under the keel at the shallowest spot next to the lifeboat station
.3m at the other shallow opposite the sluice at the end of the new quay wall.

So similar to last year, maybe slightly better.

New standing rigging, generator, radar/solar panel gantry, bilge pump renewal, electric loos, new electronics, wash and brush up.

PS, plan is your engine going in tomorrow with any luck.

pps, we left SYH at an hour before HW so we made very good time.

Excellent on the engine. Which electric loo do you recommend? We had a Jabsco Lite and it failed with the bowl 2/3 full :disgust: currently nothing in there.

Quote, out of context perhaps but;
" 20 knots Easterly, ...... .2m under the keel....................... but no concerns"

RESPECT.
What do you have for breakfast?:encouragement:

Hmm, perhaps I need to clarify.
The entrance between the piers, (the bouncy bit) has plenty of water, something like 4 or 5m at that state of the tide..

The shallow bits I was referring to are something like 200m inside the pier entrance.
No bouncing here just a 2.5knt flow.

See the shaded bits in the image below.
