I like the marina .... and the 'veranda' from the bar - lets you look at your boat while getting 'sloshed' !!

Pity that the food is not so good though !! - typical Microwave pre-prepared slap.

Last time I was in Southsea Marina bar, I was watching 'Bedouin' dry out on the mud bank just off the waiting pontoon! As she's a fin keeler it is difficult to pretend that it was deliberate.

Still food and beer were very reasonable (had plenty of time for both) and the surroundings are very pleasant.

its always possible to have an off-day !!!

I like the marina, had good stays in there, Blue is very helpful - busy but good guy etc.

I just think that the menu is same as other but less quantity, same price !
Barrel beer - well factory beer is same wherever you go basically ......

New Management ...

Now I'm willing to give it another go .... new management, judging by response I got cares about the biz and with that should be a lot better ......

GOOD LUCK - next time back I shall certainlt give it a try .....

I popped into the bar last weekend - new management trying hard.

Real ale now available - not bad at £1.75 a pint (£2.30 in Cowes the previous evening)

Cheers

I'm reliably informed by one who should know that Southsea Marina has just been sold.

Yes, I understand it is now being run by Premier Marinas - as are Port Solent, Brighton and others.

Big shame - one of the last indepentantly owned marinas in the South.

Cheers

let's sit back and watch the prices rise! Perhaps we should open a book on the percentage rise over the next two years!

Oh no !!!!!!

I was actually looking to change to Southsea .......... forget it if any hint of changes !

Nigel ...
Bilge Keelers get up further ! I only came - cos they said there was FREE Guinness !
