Hi
Has anyone used the canel sytem from Arles (bottom of the Rhone) towards the Spanish border. How far can you get, Narborne or any further? Are there many locks on the way and what sort of time will it take (motor boat max 30Kns where suitable)
Is the sytem closed at all in the next 8 weeks for any maintance?
Any other info much appreciated

I have put a chart of the canals on my web site - You can certainly get to Narbonne and to Port la Nouvelle - from Narbonne it goes to Carcasson and becomes the Canal du Midi which after turning into the Garonne ends up in Bordeaux.
Really do not know if the Midi can end up in Spain via a branch - do let me know if it does...

regards

Michael

Canal Robinne (I think) from Narbonne to Pt Nouvelle. No branch into Spain that I have seen.
