Southampton Water today bit of a scare

Because clearly the person who posted it is perfect. I think it's called up their own backside. Bet they have never done anything wrong.

Obviously you did not read the post as it was intended. jumped to a conclusion as it was written by a mobo owner,

I made no reference to being right I just laid out what had happened and asked that we all look behind every now and then,
I have been given a stern telling off by QHM in Portsmouth, Well aware of the 10 knot speed limit I made sure that I was only doing 8 knots, I was approached by Said harbour launch with flashing blue lights and asked what speed I was doing, I replied 8 knots, He then said have you looked behind you , To which I have to say on that occasion I had not as was concentrating on what was beside and in front of me as you know the harbour entrance is very busy, When I looked round there I was leaving a rather large wake, For which I apologised and slowed down further, to reduce wake,
My boat actually leaves less wake over 30 knots to flat out than it does at lower speeds,

That's as may be. However comment was not aimed at you:) however I was not the only one to read it wrong, I think the point I was making is that we all make mistakes, last season I was distracted by something happening on my boat and passed a sailboat far to fast and far to close (the rear of it) I fairly sure that I was not flavour of the day :nonchalance: for them
