Any of the Southampton marinae would do, or Hythe, from where there's a regular ferry to the right bit of Southampton. There are moorings around at Hythe and Marchwood, but I think these are club-owned. And there are moorings on the Itchen, but I'm not sure who controls them.

If you book early youj might be able to get on to the Town Quay Marine right by the show. But beware - it is rolly during the day with the passing ferry traffic and also if there is much wind from the SSW to E. It can also be noisy.

Your best bet is Hythe marina. Regular ferry (5 mins walk hythe end 1 mins walk Southampton end). Restaurants are good in marina and you will get a good nights sleep as marina is through a lock.

Town Quay usualy full and you get lots of wash from the red jet. ocean village not bad. Shamrock quay a bit isolated and to far from the show.

Ocean Village bit of a building site at the mo - but quieter in the evenings due to that!! - very close to good restaurants - in Oxford Road - No Bars in OV at the mo - Los Marinos has closed - 15 min walk - £3 Taxi or Free Bus (last year - hourly I think..)
