South West meet

Unless I missed it elsewhere, it seems about time for our annual South West meet. Happy to put my head above the parapet again. Anyone interested?? If so what about venue, we could do the Yacht Haven again or how about the Ship in Noss Mayo, or the Barbican or .........?

Hi Larry

Count us in, depending on date. We're away to the Boat Show next weekend (18th Sept), but aboard (unless weather is really dreadful) most of the following weekends.

We went to the Waterfront Restaurant on The Hoe last weekend which was nice, and have also had a few good meals at the Bombay Brasserie near QAB, but also happy to go to Yacht Haven, Noss Mayo, Barbican or elsewhere.

Kionites are possibles, depending when as we have some East Coast commitments in October (3rd and 17th)

Location relatively unimportant to us, anywhere around Plymouth would be fine.

Unfortunately I will be getting wet in Egypt on the 10th Oct!! I will just wait another week or so as numbers are still rather small and then we can make a decision.

What are we missing? i gather the weather has been "wonderful" in England this summer....

Its lovely here in Spain/Portugal (though not exactly here- we're tonight in a very strange marina seeking out an ex forumite - i shall draw a veil - and it sounds like world war 2 has broken out with a very strange siren. Would think it was fog but it isn't foggy)

Tomorow - Porto... probably won't be on here for a couple of days after that!

I am going to Plymouth on 27th.Sept. for laying up "Time Off" - will be there for a few days, (at Plymouth yacht Haven).

Sorry peeps I have been away doing stuff. Right, many of you seem to be date limited so I am not sure of numbers. My calendar is starting to get silly and I am therefore going to propose the 24th of Oct at the yacht Haven Bridge restaurant as it was pretty good last year and we can look at Yots at the same time!! if thats OK can I have confirmations please and I will set it up.

Thanks - was talking to Doug (Photodog) at the weekend and we were going to try and get a quick-and-dirty meet set up on the 10th Oct anyway but don't want to upset the apple cart.

The Kioniites are free that weekend but Doug and Abby may or may not be able to make it. We're up for a quick evening drink and bar meal on the 10th as well if anyone fancies that - won't stop us coming down on the 27th as well

We're going to two East Coast events this month as well so I'm trying to get in a full month of boatie dinners, one every weekend

OK scrap the 10th, just contacted Doug and that isn't going to be possible for them.

We're down for the 27th though - 4 of us incl. 2 kids

Right thats at least 10 plus 2 kids so I've booked. There is another big party in that night so we need to be seated by 1930 suggest we meet at about 1900. If we get more than 10 we will need to preorder - menu is on their website but I'll post here if that becomes necessary.
