Having bought the boat and trailer and having booked the ferry, we are now starting to plan the rest of the trip.
We have done it a few times before with 20ft sportsboats where we had local accommodation to store the car and trailer, or when staying on board on larger sports cruisers we have blagged our way into Port Grimaud and used their facilities (which are only supposed to be available to residents and renters). That was 10 years ago so probably all changed now.
Previously we have always used slipways.
So I am looking at options where I can have the boat launched and recovered by crane and where I can store the car and trailer for a couple of weeks whilst out on the water.
At the moment it looks like being a case of finding a boat yard that can do the craning where there is a caravan / trailer storage facility near by.
No particularly preferred location but probably east of the Rhone.
A couple of options are coming up but thought it worth asking what others had done...................
