What a shock !!...It's almost as bad as when Sol Campbell went to Arsenal....Harry Redknapp should be ashamed of himself. If I were him I'd be embarrased to show my face on the South coast.

No Betrayal

eh? Pompey hired a "director of football" and at west ham there were similar goings on to reduce his power over the actual team. The chairmen thought they could haul in "their own" people, which they can, but it was clear to most that harry would go, and he did. Now, he's working somewhere else, and that's what happens. The chairmen must have (or should have) asked themselves "if this guy leaves - am i happy for him to turn up playing/wortking for another team in competition?". Sometimes, the answer is yes. However, Pompey owners/board have evidently decided that they don't need Harry to beat ManU next time around....

Tee hee!

My Father-in-law emailed my son yesterday to say "won't all the Saints fans hate Harry Redknapp"? He mailed back to say " No, they'll love it - 'cos all the Pompey fans are gutted"!

Rupert Lowe has made it clear that he didn't have any discussions with Redknapp until after he'd left Pompey and I'd guess it was a no-brainer; he hasn't got to move house, and now he's managing a proper team, even if they are a bit below par at the moment.

If Alan Ball could do it, I don't see why 'Arry can't.
