Yes there will be a proper name!! sorry! I want to fit a new pipe into my tank and require the fitting which bolts through the tank, it is for 8mm pipe and ideally would have a 90 degree crank.
Cant find anything on the SSL site so looking for some pointers please.

You could look under webasco accessories for a pipe which has a flange and 90* bend
If you want a pipe connection to fit a tank wall look under bulkhead connection this would require access to inside the tank

Google 'Fuel tank standpipe' and you should find plenty of choices, including low cost truck and vehicle standpipes.

Assuming you want to go through the top without access to the inside then I suggest a 3/8"BSPT to 8mm compression fitting and some 8mm tube, tap the tank and screw in the fitting and then pass the tube and tighten the compression fitting, if you have access to the inside of the tank then substitute BSPT for BSPP and a couple of flanged back nuts. I use the method on a smaller scale (1/4" BSP to 5mm) on a regular basis with success. The method can also be used for going through a tank wall. You may need to pass an 8mm bit through the fitting depending on make.
