Hi all,

I'm considering switching from Rev 4 (18) as a LH and RH pair to Enertia Eco props to get some more range and efficiency. Apparently Barrus doesn't have any in stock at the moment so I was just wondering if anyone knew of anyone else who might hold some stock (unlikely I realise).

Also, I'm running them on 250hp Verado V8s and I have read in many places that the Enertias do well with a little less pitch than the 4-blade Rev 4s? Can anyone corroborate or suggest otherwise?

Thanks for all advice!

Any Enertia prop is quite difficult to obtain in the U K. Your best bet may be to import from the USA taking into account customs and vat charges etc. I found mine on eBay but they were a lower pitch at 15 & 13" . Maybe worth a call to some mercury dealers who may have a pair gathering dust...

I moved from a Rev 4 to the standard Enertia. Same grip as the Rev 4 but increased efficiency with the 3 blades. Great prop!

Very rare to get enertia props, be it the full fat or the eco, off the shelf. They are expensive things to hold in stock, I’d think.
They are also just about unicorn shit to see used too.
I don’t know too much about the eco, but I do know the normal enertia is without doubt the best prop I’ve ever had. They are justincredible things. Nothing I’ve tried comes close to them for top end blistering performance. That said...I’ll tell you the tempest plus runs a close second to it on top end and even manages to better it for economy at cruising speed, pitch for pitch. The tempest has a bigger blade diameter than the normal enertia, but a little less than the eco does.
Anyway...the main point is that most mercury dealers will be able to get you one ordered in fairly quickly I’d think. Brexit aside.
Id be confident that 9/10 times you’d be right in assuming the enertia eco would do what you are after, over your average 4 blade prop. No doubt. But I’d also just confuse things a little for you, by saying that the Rev 4 prop is an exception to the usual 4 blade rule of being poor on economy and top end compared to a 3 blade. They do so well for being a 4 blade in these areas. They are a 4 blade version of the 3 blade tempest plus. Same cut and form. There is a slight chance you might not see too much difference perhaps. I’d urge you to see if you could try before you buy with a dealer perhaps. Just in case it saves you about £1300/1400 worth of guessing ?
