Source of Iroko for rubbing strake

I thought I'd post this here as you guys know all about wood 'n stuff. I need to replace the rubbing strake on my beautiful modern classic (Heavenly Twins). I've been recommended to use Iroko but a quick ring around the local timber merchants has revealed two problems. Either them don't stock it or they won't finish it to fit. Do you know of any suppliers in Kent or Sussex that might be able to help? Thanks for your advice,

E Jones in Ruxlye near bexley were very helpful. I bought about 500metres of iroko from them a while back. There again, maybe that's why there's none left...

It's not hard to finish it yerself but i spose most woodyards aren't set up to supply finished pieces.

I keep wonderingwhy it's "Pasta" simon, but that's a separate issue..

Timber yards prefer to sell thier timber P.A.R ( finished) as that is where they make the money . Iroko is one of the harder timbers to work with so finishing to a fine standard imho will take a planer /thicknesser ( I have a planer thicknesser and will be happy to run the sawn stock off for you for the cost of new blades after your done ) and a pint /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
How much do you need ? I have a lump of 3x3 in my workshop doing nothing .
