Source of decent marine ply on east coast?

Having been around a few builders merchants to view their 'marine' ply - I have found that its all much of a muchness and not nearly as good quality as the stuff from Robbins in Bristol.

Is there anywhere in Suffolk or Essex that sells the good Gaboon faced ply. Its for rebuilding part of my galley so I'm seeking a good colour match and as far as a I can tell the existing ply in my boat is the Lloyds approved decent stuff.

I know that Robbins will deliver but as I'm only after a half sheet of 12mm the postage is likely to be nearly as much as the wood itself.

You could try Timbmet. http://www.timbmet.com/uk/products/range/marine-plywood/timbmets-marine-plywood-range/

They have a depot in Basildon and Borehamwood.

If they don't have it in stock, they will get it in for you and there web site says they can supply Gaboon throughout ply.

I have always found them helpful when needing ply for dinghies in the past
