I'd like to replace some rusty, plated steel flush hinges on Avocet. They're 2" tall and about an inch wide overall (closed).

Dead easy to find in mild steel (or even brass):

Polished Chrome Flush Hinges 51 x 25mm 2 Pack

...but stainless is proving harder than I'd have imagined!

Does anyone have a recommended source?

Brass might be an option (they're inside the cabin), but I'd want them not to have steel hinge pins (or anything that could eventually corrode and seize).

I suggest you try J. Shiner & Sons Ltd, Seaford, East Sussex.

I have bought very good quality brass hinges with brass pins from there.

Have you tried Online Stainless Steel Fasteners and Marine Hardware (seascrew.com)

Google reveals plenty of SS flush hinges of 3.5"-4", but none that small. You may be out of luck. I'm seeing a lot of brass-plated steel ones but no solid brass. I made a hinge out of mild steel in a metalwork class once, that dissuades me from suggesting trying DIY as stainless steel is a very different kettle of fish.

Same problem.

On SVB there are these for Bavarias;

BAVARIA Hinge Top Flap MC only 9,95 € buy now | SVB

But they don’t state the dimensions or whether SS but they look like it.

SVB’s German page gives the dimensions as:

Total width: 75 mm
Width small plate: 44 mm
Length folded: 30 mm
Length small plate: 23 mm
Hole Ø: approx. 4.5 mm

but not the material spec.
