Source for long stainless bolts?

Try Ben Hutchinson at www.inox.ie, based in Ireland, but does rapid mail order anywhere. In my experience the best stainless fitting supplier, and keeps things no-one else does. No connection, just used a few times.

Another solution would be to use shorter c/s set screws and recess (counterbore) the nuts into the teak, then cover with a plug if you wish.

I needed long bolts for fixing a winch. I got a local metalworking firm to weld stainless studding end on to shorter bolts. Probably reduces the strength but I torqued them up pretty hard and they all held.

You could use stainless studding and put dome nuts on the outside end, that wouldn't look too bad.

Thanks for the site recommendations and the self build ideas - I wish I was that handy! Thanks to the help here I've sourced them, it was getting a bit touch and go though; the builder had originally used the recessed nut option but since then the wheelhouse inside has been replaced and I was very reluctant to chop part of it away - did I mention I'm not very handy?
The woodscrew option will have to do for the bottom three holes but as all the force is sheer, through bolting half of them is OK.

Thanks to the help here I've sourced them, it was getting a bit touch and go though;

Take two M6 nuts.
Lock the two onto the end of and M6 threaded rod
Grind the outside nut until it is countersunk shape.
Allow to cool.
Take the ground nut and fit it to the end of a 150 mm piece of screwed rod with loctite
Allow 24 hours.
Make a saw cut across the nut and into the threaded rod.

One 150 mm countersunk machine screw.
