Making my own replacement hatch lenses but having trouble finding anyone who can supply tinted sheet in thickness of either 10 or 12mm. Standard thickness seems to be 3mm or 5mm.
Any suggestions?
I did search the forums and find mention of Hadlow marine but they seem very pricey when you pro-rate it versus thinner material available elsewhere.

I required 10mm tinted acrylic to replace some windows and it was so expensive in the length I needed that I used clear and
put car window tint film on.

Not particularly close to you but Sunlight Plastics in Waterlooville (nr Havant, South Coast) advertise that they stock acrylic for hatches. See http://www.sunlightplastics.co.uk/boat-windows-hatches-washboards-screens/
No direct experience from them but found their website when researching replacing my hatch acrylic but in the end was lazy and bought a new hatch - although fitting that was not so easy either.
Good luck

What size do you want?

I have two brand new pieces of 12mm grey tinted that might be large enough. They still have the protective film on.

Your local signmaker will be first port of call although expect they will have to order. That is very thick and unusual on a boat - and will be expensive - probably £150 sqm. Be aware, though that there are many grades and prices.

Google will find you online suppliers, but you might find that thickness in tint difficult. 8 or 10mm is more common.

I agree with Tranona that you should go to your local sign-maker.

You haven't mentioned the size sheet you want but I go through the sign-maker's scrap bin and find all sorts of acrylic. But as Tranona says there are all sorts of grades.

I have a piece of genuine Perspex in grey tint, 10mm thick and about 1000x600mm. It was incorrectly cut and is surplus to my requirements, if you're interested PM me.. If that's not a suitable size, Bay Plastics will supply it.

I took mine to a local sign maker in Malta and he cut and shape them and polish the ends not that the ends needed polishing .
So as Tranona said , a sign making company

When i did mine I used this company who cut them to size and radiussed the corners to my spec so all i had to do was drill the holes for the handles. https://www.simplyplastics.com or https://www.simplyplastics.com/cata...rey-tinted-cast-acrylic-sheet/c-24/c-83/p-236 . You can specify sizes on their website for a quote but if you do not see what you need just contact them. Very helpful. I needed a corner radius not shown but they cut to my specific size at no extra cost.

i too had trouble sourcing 12mm tinted for my jeanneau sundream 28 (no plastics supplier seems to want to help the miserable c****), Hadlow helped in the end. i had him make all 3 windows, the sides are 6mm, the one at the front is fairly large and the 12mm curved easily enough to the shape too. Hadlow also drilled them for me. very nice guy "Jean"
