Sorry to "drift" slightly but at what "distance moved" does one set an anchor watch.
Presumably this would vary according to how much rode you have out and in what depth of water -Or Not!
To avoid false alarms I take the exact position that I dropped the anchor at (not the position that the boat is in after the anchor has been set), then set the alarm to go off from that point, with the radius being the length of the scope that I have out minus the least depth of water that I will be in at low water. That way you can be sure that if the alarm goes off you have definitely dragged.
