Sound on Active Captain App

I'm wondering if it's possible to get sound working on the Garmin Active Captain app so I can hear alarm alerts when I'm away from the main chartplotter. In case it makes any difference my plotter is a GPS Map 820xs and I'm using an Android tablet.

Haven't tested this because I don't have ActiveCaptain...

• Tap the settings cog
• Tap notifications
• Tap ActiveCaptain
• Change to "silent" or whatever you prefer

All on but still not a peep. On screen notifications are showing but no sound.

Thanks anyway. All the notification/sound settings were set correctly from the beginning. I've tried this on both my tablet and phone, both android, without success.
I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who has actually got sound to work on Active Captain. If I was sure it worked I'd keep digging until I sort it.

Above are my current settings. I'm getting and hearing notifications from quite a few other apps without issues and also getting them on my watch when it's my phone I'm using.

Hello ,

The Helm feature on Active Captain would not give audible alerts to your phone, only audible alerts on the chart plotter.

That's disappointing.

It is. In truth ActiveCaptain is pretty much useless, at least for me, except for the function which enables you to transfer routes etc from Navionics.
