On page 154 of YM July issue, is the following ad;-
<ATTRACTIVE FIT WOMEN (50) SEEK KIND GOOD HUMOURED SKIPPER FOR FUN & ADVENTURE IN WARMER CLIMES.>

Is this the sort of forum Claymore had in mind?
Could this be the feminine side Jimi had been considering?

Is anyone man enough to take the challenge?

Re: phwoar!

i wd say that claymore with a boat in scotland will be very well set up with this. Mind you, jimi is on the solent so that's warmer climes, innit? Mind you, not at all sure about the "kind" and both clasie and jimi have very very bad sense of humour, so i don't think they will be applying....

He'd need a big boat and to be very fit himself if there's 50 of them. Perhaps......no, no, no, Mrs Mate is bound to read this sometime and there'd be words said.

Re: Can someone

Did Becky not say, .. who is man enough?

Are you guys cowards?????? I dont believe it.

Are you guys of the type to wissel after a woman if you are in a crowd, but too scared to start a sensible conversation with an unknown lady??

If any one of you is not organized, it seems you deserve your lonely lot.

When I posted some adverts of woman trying to go sailing in reply to johnboy post, I got private mails aking from which site these adverts came.

If I would be in the market I would certainly reply. What can one lose??

Re: Can someone

I'm following this discussion with some interest as I might put an ad in some day myself. I want to go cruising; had planned to go with late husband but fate intervened. So ... what do I do? Go alone? No fun and probably dangerous. Or look for a sailing mate. Where better than in a magazine read by sailors. So guys ... don't be hesitant. Respond to the lady's post.

Re: Can someone

Maggie,

Go and read or join the www.cruiser.co.za site. You almost crtainly find what you are looking for.

I have put adverts in, that is how I found my partner, we been living now for one and a half year on the boat. Its great, life has not been better.

It is senseless to sit and wait for something that might not happen. Make it happen. I dont know why the stigma, Everybody is searching (consciuosly or deliberately) throughout his/her life. Why not admit to this fact and do something about it?

Answering or placing an advert, gives a good initial idea to the other person. It amazed me how one can read between the lines. For instance I received a reply.. can also cook and make very nice clothing.., well that was not quite what I was after. What I found and latched on.. had my own safari business, like camping, adventerous.. she can also make clothes and brought an industrial sewing machine, a motorcycle, some guns. We live in Africa.

On cruiser.co.za you find adverts and good people from all over the world. We both for interest sake still check out adverts for both man and woman, and should anything happen to either of us, that is where we will be able to find a new partner.

There is one other point and the males here will probably be offended, but it is not aimed at those on the board here, they have as it is obvious some interests and hobbies such as diving and sailing and some also bike riding and mounteneering.

BUT!!! I often wonder what makes Mr.Average who shows typically only interest in his beer, pub, car (more the model and the shiny side of it without knowing really how the thing works), a barbeque (he can rarely make a fire properly) and rugby, cricket or soccer so special? Or attractive for an intelligent and goodlooking Lady?

I have come across numerous extremely intelligent, successful and goodlooking cultured females, which cannot find a man. Men are simply scared of them. Pathetic the stronger sex.

So if you'r looking for the special man (in this case special for sailing) you should make an effort.

Good luck Maggie, go for it.

Regards Ongolo

Re: OK Rebecca

Now you tell yus what we should say...
I can start it off by saying.
Old Aussie git, done a fair bit of "offshore " sailing in the Pacific and OZ coast sailing , plus some racing. Wants to meet someone who can cook, clean fish, has a good yacht, plenty of money , will do all the night sailing ( whille I get my beauty sleep )..Its always warm in OZ.. you sail in the north in the dry season , south in the wet.
Oh I dont go to the footy.. cause I know we always win.. or to rugby or to the cricket... so wont mention any of them while sailing... happpy to have a meal ashore with a good bottle of OZ red... ( I can cook also.. but I guess you will want to do that as well as clean up and keep the yacht tidy)

Now Rebecca whatmore do I say ????? add a few lines for me.

Re: OK Rebecca

Wow Brian, you are fair dinkum domesticated and considerate of the fairer sex compared to most of the Oz's I have met - maybe it is just the company I keep though.
