Posting on one forum would do - see answers in Lounge. Multiple postings is not allowed under forum rules, and especially not on for a homework project.

Nope, good forum etiquette is that you post once, and consider the replies. then maybe post in another forum if told it's a good idea. Multiple posting is crap and just annoys people
 
multiple postings

agree with brendan, v frustrating if a post appears in more than one place, you give an answer then the other lot carry on with their conversation on an entirely different tack. The answer and INTERACTION of the answers is what makes a forum - multiple postings destroys that. Spose h-bomb warnings cd be on all forums but otherwise i think moderators wd be quite in order to deletem.

I bet the software wd be able to do some light checking of (say) whenever an original new thread post is made check previous 5 posts by same user (by say comparing first ten chars of title) and if match then pop msg and end?

I do agree that having on multiple can destroy the point of the post and does not generate the usual tangent habits of forumites in the one thread as normal .... !!!
