u shaped brass fitting to screw to the wall to clip lee-cloths on to?

not u bolts, but ones kind of ohm shaped. Not eye-bolts either as they will stick out too far.

It's taken me ages to come up with the search reference for 'snap hooks' for the ends of cords going through the lee-cloths!

My boat has Davey Eye Bolts for the top rope of the lee cloths There's a big fat spreader and washer (more of a "dollar" washer than a "penny" washer). The lower part of the lee cloth is hooked under pressed steel lacing hooks screwed to the bunk under the cushions. Still working after ? years, I've only had the boat for 25 and they were fitted when I bought her.
 
My lee cloths have a SS tube through the top edge.
This means that in use one can lay on ones side with bum against the tube & cloth & knees against the other side of the bunk in a sort of "fetal" position & brace ones self. So when asleep one does not move about & keep waking up. In addition I only have one tie, in the centre, to support it. This makes it easier to get out in a hurry.
Cloth tops are Ok but can give a bit & ones body can move which makes for an unrestful night
 
A couple of ideas for others looking at this thread for info on DIY leecloths....
Avoid plastic/vinyl etc for the cloths, especially if you are heading to hotter climes; horrible to sleep against
Make them higher than 'lying on ones side hip height'- quite high, in my case!!
A bit of a gap at the face end feels less claustrophobic
If using a rope along the top, clipped onto your choice of very strong lacing eyes/ring bolts/whatever- tie the rope onto the snapshackle rather than splicing, and tighten frequently, as the rope will stretch.
Fasten them, if possible, outboard ie nearer to the hull than to the very edge of the bunk, underneath the cushions
Consider how easy it is to get out of the bunk in an emergency.... and into it when you are desperate for sleep! (So no knots, in my opinion....)
A little pocket on the outside of the cloth for spectacles/ipod/kindle/book is a nice touch
Above all, think safety and strength. You will sleep better knowing that in an extreme and violent lurch you will not be thrown across the saloon

Re Phanakapan's post - daft really, I have very little space on the insides of the bunks to fasten the cloths, and have been tinkering with fastenings. I didn't even think about making them wider and fastening them outboard. I have loads more room on that side of the locker lids.

my lee cloth bottom edge go under the bunk boards & cupped & screwed to the framing
