Would have liked to have gone for the Doral 250se but viewed a boat at the weekend and fell for the little minx... made an offer which has been accepted:cool:

Don't you just hate a tease!!!

We need pictures...we need pictures....we need pictures!!

Many congratulations and hope all goes perfectly. :)

Here we go.. as pristine on the inside as she is on the outside with a mountain of well organised paperwork showing her history since birth... comes with a good few upgrades above standard specification.... sea trial went well and am happy with the engine performance.

excellent Gary, the boat looks great!!!!,..

...I was just remembering your first posts about where you could go and test your first boat all those years ago... hang on a minute, in fact wasn't it about 18 months ago you got your first boat..... At this rate you will be ordering a jfm style ship before the new years is out! :D

I am sure you will enjoy the rest of the season...and even more so than the rest of us you won't be able to wait until next spring...!!! :)

That looks very mint - congratulations. What engines? You'll have to think of a new name (or Mrs oGaryo could change her name to Lorna by deed poll?). Trips to Cornwall, Scilly, Channel Islands and France, here you come.

Are you going to get a trailer or use a marina? If you got a trailer you could do some wonderful Bartw/Rene style cruising. Eg tow it down to the med for 2 months - folks on here can help you get a berth and park the 4x4 and trailer. Then Croatia.

thanks.. Mrs ogaryo :) :) :)

she has the 5.0l MPI 260hp which I must admit caused me some think time and reading ahead of the sea trial especially considering it was coupled to an Alpha 1 Gen 2 leg but she got on the plane and cruised easily enough in a strong tide so those concerns were alayed..

the leg had a full service 2 months ago including gimbal bearing, bellows, impeller etc and the engine was serviced late 2009, including riser checks.. I know the leg pretty well now from previous boats so can do the future maintenance work on that myself and the engine should be easy enough to get my head around.

will defintiely be getting her trailered as we'll continue to store and launch so I guess there is an option to tug her places but we'll see how that goes. I've no intention at present to doing anything further han IOW and a little way down the coast.

really looking forward to getting to know this one and I'll try not to sell her too quickly this time :)

Many congratulation on a fine boat.
You know its a boat I love, and an engine I loved.

Have many hours of fun with her.

Cheers

Al.

congratulations with the purchase
this boat can bring you a lot of boating pleasure,
and as sugested above,
with a trailer and a good towing car, the cruising options are endless.

with this boat You will probably be on the edge of the max towable weight with a heavy car; 3000...3500kg.
If you don't have one, you could consider an alluminium trailer, 2 axle not 3 axes,
this will save you about 500kilo's of weight.

good luck and much fun with the boat
