Sonning to Marlowe today.....

Oh dear....the weather has turned!

I have already committed to taking one of my mates up to Marlowe to collect his Father-in-Law for a cruise back to Sonning....expecting sunshine! His FIL has been looking forward to this for weeks (I think he's a closet boaty!)

Ah well.....beer and lunch on board and let's hope it passes......if you see us give us a shout on AKAMAS.....

Don't be a wimp :D

OK, so its raining a bit but that doesn't need to stop you enjoying the trip as planned. Absolute cats and dogs might be a good reason to abort, but you shouldn't let normal rain showers stop you and you'll probably enjoy a quieter river if others wimp out !
Not as nice as it would be on a good weather day, maybe, but can still be fun.

Absolutely agree.....we were soaked to the skin but had a great day. As the weather seemed to cause a general outbreak of wimpishness and low traffic levels we flew through the locks, frequently straight in through open gates.

Great to meet a couple of you; Simon.....good luck at the new location.

England v Wales rugby

We wimped out and popped home for the night although we did manage to get the washing done, clean clothes for the rest of the week hurrah!

Back down to Windsor shortly with the cats and heading up river probably to Henley.

I NEED to find somewhere to watch the England v Wales rugby match on Saturday at 2pm anyone offer any advice on any good pubs? Possibly Cookham, Marlow or Henley.

I'm getting very excited about the lead up to the world cup!

Yup......can't keep off the bl**dy thing! But suppose that's why we bought it :-)

Today will probably have a potter up to George & Dragon with one of my sons for a while (to escape gardening for a couple of hours!)

Tomorrow we're out with friends either to Henley or the other way up towatrds Goring....not sure yet

We are the same since we brough the boat, our neighbours think we have moved out!

We will keep an eye out for you if you go to Henley to say hello.
 
AKVAVIT, we also fly a small Swedish flag (blue background, yellow cross) in addition to the red Ensign.

ahhh.....I've certainly seen you before ....will keep a look out...I trust you have a bottle of it in the fridge? :D
 
Hopefully we were behaving ourselves, if you have seen us before :eek:

Actually we are currently out of Akvavit which is criminal! We will stock up when we go to Sweden again next month either that or it's a trip to Ikea :(

However we do always have a nicely stocked drinkes cupboard.
