A fire on a 10' boat took ten firemen 2 hours to extinguish. My O level maths suggests that each fireman took two hours hosing down 1' of boat each, which would point at productivity problems within the fire service.
Sounds about right. Two men to carry out the risk assessment, one chief, one supervisor, one to deal with the media, an environmental consultant, one trainee, a lesbian in a wheelchair, a Polish interpreter, and one guy with a fire extinguisher to put out the fire.
