I decided to buy the Seago bosun's chair following advice after I posted about it on this forum, and searched the internet for the best price. The result was Duncan Chandlers in Glasgow. Cheaper than all the "big name" chandleries, and cheaper P & P than most. Ordered it yesterday, and it arrived this morning.
For those that don't know of the company their website is here

I had not heard of them until I googled for deals on the bosun's chair, and I suspect that many of us south of the border do not know of them as they don't seem to put adverts in the sailing magazines I have seen. That is why I posted about them.

Duncans has been around for many years. I've bought loads from them over the years and they have great product knowledge and will give good "one off" prices, especially if you are a regular customer. No connection - just a customer.

So the secret is out about things from Scotland. Mind you there are some Scottish "products" that have been exported with glee, mostly to Westminster...

I have found with Duncans over the years is that you get good advice about products. it was due to them that I went for Garmin GPS. , Gill Pilot pants, Eberspacher, etc etc

Good prices, no regrets, and of course no connections.
