I was told by somebody that they were going home today and wouldn't be taking their boat out.

I set out in blazing sunshine and found a buoy just off HMS Indefatigable, got out the newspaper and a bottle of cold beer and settled down to catch a few rays.

Then I noticed a Series 9 going past with what looked liked a brand spanking new radar arch (I couldn't see the borrowed and stolen hardwood used to attach it to the flybridge) but I could clearly see the two people who should have been back home, mowing the lawn or something.

So stunned was I , I didn't take a picture.

Eventually, even the sun was too much for me and I headed back to find these people had really gone home this time, so I consoled myself by visiting Little Ship and having a rummage around in the drinks cabinet.

I turned down the offer of sharing their supper, and went back to the house to grill a steak and then headed to another boat and some drinks, but I only had room for a coke.

A very good day, all in all.

Ah well, we were getting ready to set off home later in the day when we recieved a call from some friends. 'We're in Conwy, just wondered if you were about a bit later on'. So we said if they could get to us in about an hour we'd take them out. They then rang bakc a bit later, 'we've been held up, wont be able to make it now'. Course by now I've got it in my mind to go out on the water, so we went out anyway.
Almost wish we hadn't, when we came back in we arrived at our berth to find a speedboat in there filling up with petrol, so I turned around and headed back out to give myself some time, only to find we'd been followed in by 2 ski boats who decided they'd stick there boats on the pontoon opposite the entrance to ours. Not too much of a problem until one of them decided to man handle his boat out in front of me just as we were exiting. Managed to miss it though! Later found out they'd entered without permission too.
Then, on re-entry and knowing our berth was now free, we were met by a small tended doing abouit 5 knots, I thought he'd be sensible and turn up between the pontoons to let me past but he was intent on sqeezing through the small gap between us and the pontoons, unfortunately he got through and his boat didn't get crushed.

A very sensible decision to go out, as it was a lovely day. There were a lot of numpties in the outer harbour over the weekend and I was instrumental in getting one pontoon bashing RIB evicted as he was being a nuisance.

Very nice again today, but the weather returns tonight.
