Somebody to do GRP Repairs

I'm looking to make some minor repairs; take out the sea toilet and seal up the holes. Take out the old log and impellor and replace with the Raymarine version, and finally cut hole and insert Raymarine depth transducer.

The boat is out of the water at Bradwell Marina. There's nobody advertising on the office noticeboard to do this sort of work.

Any suggestions of somebody in the area?

No one springs to mind on the south side of the river I'm afraid. The yard at Tollesbury has the capability or up at Brightlingsea... after that you're looking at south to Burnham or north up the wallet to the Orwell.

Lee Stammers does excellent work for us. He also works for Sunseekers and fixes them when their owners scratch them. I will PM you his number.

He also does rigging and anything else boat related other than engine work.

Most depth transducers work through the hull and don't require a hole to be cut.

Ian, John Rook of Althorne is working on my boat on the hard at Braswell at the moment. I have used him before for exactly the sort of work you are looking at. No complaints whatsoever. I dont have his number on me but I am sure he has cards on the wall under reception.

Thanks all for advice, sent PM's tp Robyn & CPD. Roger, I did fit an in hull Raymarine this season, so far worked very well (first couple of times the oil bath managed to leak out though) but I wanted to do a belts and braces job and have one through hull and one in hull. There's another in hull one there as well!
