I think you may have cost me £169 for the Southampton tug. Not for the kids though!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

just be careful with that squirty tug, CD-they aren't very stable, and they aren't AT ALL waterproof (not ideal in a boat...)so if you capsize it with too enthusiastic a push off, you've had it...
my nipper loved it, tho /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

just a word, from some memories!
The salt water totally destroys the electrics in no time, especially the speed controller, which is the expensive bit.
You need a fast charger, or extra batteries. You get a some minutes use per charge, but a child isnt keen to wait 15 hours for a recharge !
It needs to be REALLY calm, or water just breaks over the boat !
And you need to be able to retrive the boat when the batteries go dead 50metres away!

The electrics on my lad's Trent class have held up OK, even on seawater. We've sprung a leak round the rudder stock but before that the only issue was a rusted up stern tube (easily fixed), and a motor that was left wet for too long (cheap enough to replace)...
