I have been trying for a while to solve my fender storage problems on my new boat. When helming from below the fender baskets near the bow restrict visibility.

I needed something that could make it easy to sore fenders horizontally along the side of the boat. I used the fender things from Sweden for securing to the top rail but finding something to go through the bottom hole in the fender and secure to either wire, or varying sizes of rail was difficult.

In the end I purchased some black 20mm webbing from B&Q along with a pile of the plastic belt clips things, like a life jacket but smaller and made up a simple strap permanently secured around the bottom of the fender and ready to clip around anything - wire or any size bar. Always secure and a very easy system that has now passed the SWMBO test. Means we have a wide range of places to store fenders. even on the top deck, aft deck or either side of the boat all using the same system.

Thought I would pass it on for what it is worth.

It's all sorted on Windermere.
They hang out of sight, can't see your problem really. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
