Re: Must buy myself a calculator

I have a couple of the small bottles, (being a raggy who has used less than 200litres of diesel this year!), but have lost the packaging.

WHat is the capacity of the bulb-measure bit on the top? I have been guessing at 10ml.

Dom,

Who makes your current stuff, as there do seem to be a few companies who make similar. Do you want the measuring thing built into the bottle
eg <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.richardspackaging.com/plastic/chemical/bettix/singleneck.html>http://www.richardspackaging.com/plastic/chemical/bettix/singleneck.html</A>
or just a cap which you can measure into, your requirements weren't totally clear.

Thats the ones. better of doing a search under bettix. They have the nme and number printed underneath the bottle.

Hi Bigmoose. I'm not expert on this but I think fuel mag is a device that the fuel passes thru on its way to the engines, and it does something to the fuel. My worry is that if the boat sits almost still for 4 mths over winter, with a full tank of fuel which aint being used, that fuel will go bad in the tank. Some bug will grow in it, or something. Then I'll have a lousy time next april fixing it. £20 of soltron is pretty good insurance against that, I mean the worst that can happen is I have wasted £20. Soltron mixes with the fuel so in theory (and in parctice, based on my brother's real experience this summer) it prevents the bug from growing.

Have I got this right or does your fuel mag do something else?

Can you get good quality fuel in your location, by the way?

Techie question, DepSol. Many times, I've forgotten to put Solly in the tanks before filling up, remembered later and lobbed a few globs down the fillers afterwards. How effectively would it then mix with the fuel?

As a boat is constantly moving even when on the pontoons it will move through the fuel very quickly. The reason for putting it in forst is so the diesel washes it down the fuel ine and mixes it quicker. If you are a regular user do not worry as there wil be enough enzyme content left in the tank to make sure you are ok until the rest is topped up.
