Soltron - Anyone?

Re: The Difference

No one is stirring, and I didn't start the thread. Just intererested as a thread started on PBO, and it was pointed out by a forumite that the Solpower website contained the following:

"Due to trademark conflicts and imitation products in various parts of the world, Solpower Corporation advises customers to verify the source of any fuel treatment using the name Soltron™ or Xbee"

Just trying to understand who is the real Soltron, and if there are any actual differences in Soltorn (TM) Soltron(R) and Xbee

Re: The Difference

Wouldn't it have been a great deal easier, if you'd just posted that in response to Perrins original question?

Still, got Soltron a good bit of publicity <g>

Pepsi doesn't work for me, I prefer Coca-Cola, I suspect neither company will tell you what the receipe is for their products though.

If Coca-cola works for you then drink it, if not try Pepsi!

(All trademarks duly acknowledged......whatever that means)

Re: The Difference

Just been reading these posts .

I am confused ? I have a Soltron Hazard data sheet that I got from ASAP supplies with my Soltron (not yet used ) and it says flash point > 38 degrees C . Is mine a different variety ? Mark 1 ?

At 15 Degrees I would be very cautious of having it in my boat during the summer even in the UK on some days or using mobile phones nearby

Re: Pepsi

nah - Diet Pepsi when they only used Aspatame as the sweetner had a wonderfull acidic taste; then they went all soft like the rest and lost the taste...........sparkling mineral water has more taste than diet colas IMHO and even goes better with mountgay!

STILL NOT CONVINCED

Why are the logo's all over the place, some are using none and Solpower Coporation logo (listed on the stock exchange) is very similar to the NIreland soltron

Does'nt say that much on the <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.solpower.co.jp/>japanese manufactures</A> website about its bug eating capabilities. Also I'm not a engineer, but would putting kerosene through an engine achieve any of these claims? Not sure?

Understand you can't reveal all. But some clarity on the situation would help people who are not in the know and not linked to Soltron UK.

Re: STILL NOT CONVINCED

I dont distribute for them all. Only Soltron based in Belfast www.soltron.co.uk aka SOLTRON®. So why and what they do with there logos and the info on there websites is no concern of mine.

As I said BEFORE putting kerosene through an engine in the amounts of 1:5000 would not have any effect on the engine just to give you a bit more perspective thats 1 litre into 5 tons of fuel, its a drop in the well.

Re: Real Soltron, please stand up!

I've come back to Christchurh twice this year and both times tried to find the distributor on Stoney Lane. Never found the place, does anybody have the exact contact details and perhaps the 'phone no. I'll be back a Xmas and I want some.

Thanks in advance

Re: Real Soltron, please stand up!

Just before you get to the retail park, there's a bunch of industrial units on your right (if you're coming up from the lights). There's a big sign at the edge of the road for Lesro Models. Just go there - it's actually an r/c model shop, but they sell Soltron. Don't ask. Phone number should be on the Soltron website.
