Solid Deck Saloon Yachts around 40ft?

Good luck finding a decent Endurance, theres a lot of home finished projects that have been for sale ages on numerous websites if you want a fixer upper, the good stuff sells pretty quickly.

I've sailed an Endurance 40 and I thought she was very sluggish in light airs. It's a few years ago so my memory might have got it wrong?

My brother got a very very nice Northwind in Spain for euros 85k. Reccomended if you can find a good one.

When I was looking for a Countess deck saloon, most had a standard interior with a greenhouse plonked on top, which isn't really the point for me. The saloon needs to be under the raised bit and the cabin sole raised so that you can see out when at anchor, or there is no point, as far as I'm concerned.

I gave up and bought a very nice non-DS in the end.

If fancying the Malö here's a 40 at £32800. Pretty updated, even comes with a trailer for storage etc.

I have a Cal 36 Cruising .... unfortunately she was badly damaged in a fall at the yard. She has a deck saloon but the steering and engine controls are in the cockpit, but that's not a problem with an autopilot. The main plus point with this type of deck saloon is that you have near to 360deg of sea view while sitting comfortably in the saloon.

2000110 People looking on and thanking god it's not their bo (2).jpg main saloon with transverse bench seats - note that the windows provide 360 deg viewing whilst S.jpg

IMO one of the prettiest is the Tayana 37 pilothouse :
