Solent Winter Haul Out, Stay Aboard Weekends

Hello,

I am current berthed in Portsmouth Harbour, and planning ahead, would like to locate a winter haul out yard, where it's feasible to stay aboard weekends, as I will have to travel a fair distance to get to the boat.

Not sure that any yards will advertise that fact and many Ts & Cs will probably prohibit it so if i were you i'd probably go for a yard that npt only is good for whatever work you want doing but one that also might turn a blind eye, has decent showers / toilets, has got food places nearby and then say sorry if they have a bit of a strop about it

Gosport boat yard, Wicor marine, I have laid up in both and stayed onboard, never a problem

Years ago at Southsea marina our boat was hauled out for several months for extended maintenance. Never any problems with staying on board (with our cat!) for as long as was needed. May be different now but I doubt it!

For sure Premier marinas don't allow it anymore.
