One generally thinks of seals turning up off Cornwall or the East Coast, but of course they do turn up in the Solent from time to time. Apparently this will be highlighted on Countryfile this weekend. Sunday, BBC1 at 1900.

I know a river not a million miles from where my boat is moored where there's a seal or two.

Even had one the beggars blow fishy breath at me whilst looking over the side of the dinghy. Nearly died of fright...

See them regularly in Chichester harbour:

The ones around here like to tease, every time Louise gets the camera out they dive. Went aground a few weeks back and one came over and seemed to be almost posing for the camera for a change

Confirmed addict of his I'm afraid, he's been stuck with us on the East Coast for a while now, we even kidnapped him and made him come to Oostende a short time back /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
He has to stop taking this 'keep turning left' thing so seriously though, or he's going to be stuck on our rivers until his 50th /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
