One generally thinks of seals turning up off Cornwall or the East Coast, but of course they do turn up in the Solent from time to time. Apparently this will be highlighted on Countryfile this weekend. Sunday, BBC1 at 1900.
The ones around here like to tease, every time Louise gets the camera out they dive. Went aground a few weeks back and one came over and seemed to be almost posing for the camera for a change
It's not in the Solent, but there's some brilliant footage of seals on Nathan Lee's Around Britain video blog . Start at about 7 min. 20 for the best bits /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Confirmed addict of his I'm afraid, he's been stuck with us on the East Coast for a while now, we even kidnapped him and made him come to Oostende a short time back /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
He has to stop taking this 'keep turning left' thing so seriously though, or he's going to be stuck on our rivers until his 50th /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
