We are a very dirty weedy boat.

So we should have a pressure wash and antifoul. We could use a grid, and still might do so as the total cost is about £40 :)

However the other option is a lift out and a week or so on the hard which means not only can antifouling be done but maybe a proper polish job too - which is also long overdue

does anyone know of yards doing a bit of a summer bargain?

thanks v much
Nick

It will be expensive anywhere. We got a 24-hr lift and overnight in the yard at Hamble Point one August about ten years ago for £120 but I don't know the current cost.

Cheapest I've found is Gosport Boatyard for a weekend ashore. Wicormarine used to do a mid season special but sdaly not this year. I'm tempted to go there anyway though as easy access (esp compared to Gosport) and it's a great friendly yard. Not saying GBY isn't friendly but it's too far out of the way for me to pop in on the way home from work (Eastleigh to Port Solent area). Mine is 31'. Don't bother with Sealift if you want budget - I was quoted £555.56 for mine.

In reality it will most probably be the scrubbing grid at Hardway for me!
