A couple of questions for anyine who an help:

What is a Solent Jib?

I have a Starlight 39 with removable inner forestay. Proposal is to leave furling genoa on main forestay and use removeable inner one for a heavy weather jib (to supplement existing storm jib) - this was recommended in a recent YM. Do people have experince of this set up?

Many thanks

A smaller headsail, larger than a stormjib, usually set on the inner forestay when sailing to windward. Often cut high on the foot and self tacking. Would fall into the definition of a "heavy weather jib"

I always thought a Solent jib was one of those, flown from the forestay, that just fills the foretriangle. Also, I believe, known as a 'blade' jib?
