This Friday, arriving quite late (probably dark) and looking for a sound place to anchor. Have decent sized Rocna with good holding. Boat draws 1.5m on a fin.
No sure about going on the inside in the dark and ending up anchored in the way of everyone/on the mud. Was thinking about the spot in the first photo I have attached to this thread. 80f from shore, 2m chart datum.
Have read things about strong tidal flows and bad ground - anyone have any information about this area? Also, looking relatively benign overnight not expecting a flat calm anchorage but is this a famous spot for rolling around all night?
As an alternative, anyone have experience anchoring in the little pool West of the charted "Lentune Island"?
