Thanks to the new MDL Freedom berth deal we are able to spend a little longer in Zones 1 & 2 so are heading off to the Solent for 3 months.

Plan is to head over to Cobbs end of Feb for a few weeks ashore so MercuryMan to wield his spanners then plan to spend April in Cobbs and head to Hamble point for May and Port Hamble for June.

Hope to return to Brixham mid July and return via the Channel Islands .

Please give us a wave if you see us along the way.

We purchased Evenstar from Southampton so nice to be able to spend a few months there and get to meet some of the forumites to boot.

Most of mine and SWMBO's family are in Berkshire, Hampshire & Bucks so perfect location to get family on the boat as it's a bit of a schlep to Brixham.

Well done and good luck with your bike ride, will buy the first round if we see you.

Didn't realise you were heading for the hamble as well, might be following you around, we are heading for the hamble as well, I would recommend port hamble over hamble point, as bit of a walk to the village and a bit commercial at hamble point, plus there is banana Walf nasi goreng ( my favorite) and the right weekend a good atmosphere hamble port,

Hi Nathan,

Thought we'd make the most of the Freedom scheme, have lots of friends and family in the area so perfect location.

We're planning on spending time at both Hamble locations and possible some time down at Ocean village.

Will be arriving at Cobbs in the next 3 weeks, really depends on getting a weather window

How long till you're there? Looking forward to meeting up on the water... Guess the pub Monday will have to do for now :-)

Was going to tell you Monday, going to he up there for about 2 months, we are taking new boat to hamble next weekend, might be bumpy hence why Katie is driving, just me and the boys :-)
We have 3 days tuition curtesy of essex with Jon Mendez, and thought make most of time up there a and stay a while,

When I first signed up with MDL last year I didn't appreciate the advatages Feedom Berthing offered. I've wondered about the possibility of berth holders doing a car swap to return to base. ie. if I sailed from Cobbs to Brixham, and you sailed from Brixham to Cobbs and wanted to explore for a few weeks , you could collect my car keys from the marina so you could drive home and my car would be deivered so I could drive home.

Hi Steve, yes I do remember, did you get your windlass sorted?

Will inevitably end up in Ocean Village at some point, SWMBO likes the drag queens @ the London Inn lol

What a great idea Col, as long as everyone has a premium car, don't want to return to Brixham in a RentaWreck lol
