Looks a good deal but has it got a knife blade which is useful for sealing ropes.
Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!£20 extra by the looks of it. (pack 2 in the link)
You can buy 12V soldering irons - I have one and use it regularly.
I've got a Dremel equivalent.
Are you happy with it? I was thinking about getting one a while back..
I note the £5 Farnell tips for the solderpro which Lodesman77 mentions are £12 with VAT and handling charge, although I suppose there's always something to find to bulk out a Farnell order
I'm amazed at some of Farnells prices and at the range of stuff they sell. I bought a laptop battery from them and receive a catalogue nearly every week.I have that model, and that's an excellent price. Very useful, had mine for about five years, and would echo all the plus points above.
The tips are cheap from Farnell - http://cpc.farnell.com/iroda/s-05/tip-hot-knife/dp/SD01097 - so only a fiver. Well worth it.
